Opportunity Context Integrity Score™ (OCIS)

Measuring the Health of Your Organisational Context

The Opportunity Context Integrity Score™ (OCIS) is VisionList's measurement framework for assessing the quality of an organisation's governed business context.

Rather than measuring business outcomes directly, OCIS measures the integrity of the organisational context that enables people, AI and operational systems to make consistent decisions and continuously improve.

As Context Integrity increases, organisations strengthen alignment, reduce reasoning drift, improve execution and accelerate organisational learning. Over time these improvements contribute to increased Revenue, Retention and Referrals (RRR).

Why Measure Context?

Every organisation continuously accumulates new information about customers, markets, products, competitors and operations.

Without an explicit mechanism to maintain this shared understanding, business context gradually fragments. Teams begin making decisions from different assumptions, AI models reason from outdated information, and operational performance becomes increasingly inconsistent.

The Opportunity Context Integrity Score provides a practical way to measure and continuously improve this capability.

The Three Dimensions of Context Integrity

The standard OCIS methodology measures three equally weighted dimensions.

1. Context Currency (33.3%)

How current is your business context?

Measures how quickly important changes are identified, validated and incorporated into the Governed Business Context Layer™.

Typical considerations include:

  • Context update latency
  • Market and customer change responsiveness
  • Reduction in context drift over time

2. Context Quality (33.3%)

How reliable is your business context?

Measures the quality and usefulness of the governed context used to support strategic and operational decisions.

Typical considerations include:

  • Signal-to-noise ratio
  • Completeness and consistency
  • Retrospective validation of assumptions
  • Decision support quality

3. Context Adoption (33.3%)

How consistently is business context being used?

Measures the extent to which people, AI agents and operational services actively reference and apply the governed business context during execution.

Typical considerations include:

  • Sprint adoption
  • Decision references
  • Operational workflow integration
  • AI and agent utilisation

The Standard Calculation

The standard Opportunity Context Integrity Score is calculated using three equally weighted dimensions:

OCIS = (Context Currency × 33.3%) + (Context Quality × 33.3%) + (Context Adoption × 33.3%)

Future enterprise implementations may adjust these weightings to reflect organisational priorities and operating models.

Continuous Context Optimisation™

The Opportunity Context Integrity Score is not a one-time assessment.

It is designed to improve continuously through Customer Organisational Development™ and Continuous Context Optimisation™.

Each operational sprint strengthens the organisation's shared understanding, improves decision quality and reduces organisational drift.

As OCIS increases, organisations typically experience:

  • Faster organisational learning
  • Better strategic alignment
  • More consistent operational execution
  • Stronger AI reasoning
  • More predictable business performance

These improvements ultimately contribute to stronger Revenue, Retention and Referrals (RRR).

From Measurement to Competitive Advantage

Traditional organisations measure business performance after results have already occurred.

The Opportunity Context Integrity Score introduces a leading indicator for organisational learning capability.

By continuously improving Context Integrity, organisations establish the conditions for sustained commercial improvement rather than relying solely on lagging financial metrics.

VisionList uses OCIS throughout its implementation programmes to establish a baseline, measure progress and guide Continuous Context Optimisation over time.

Subject to ongoing live testing.

OCIS RangeInterpretation
0–40Fragmented context with significant organisational drift.
40–60Foundational context established but inconsistently maintained.
60–80Governed context supporting effective organisational learning.
80–100Highly adaptive AI-native organisation with continuously optimised business context.
